While the change in Georgetown home prices and sales varied year over year in August depending on ZIP code, days on the market were up across the board, according to data from the Austin Board of Realtors.

By the numbers

The average number of days that homes stayed on the market remained higher than last year across all three ZIP codes. In 78628 and 78633, homes sat for more than three times as many days compared to last year. In 78626, it was more than twice as long.


There were more homes sold this August compared to last August in 78628 and 78633, but sales in 78626 dropped by 22% year over year.


The change in median home prices from last August to this August was also mixed. Prices in 78626 dropped more than 5% while prices in 78633 increased by nearly 2%. In 78628, the median home price remained consistent year over year at $535,000.


ABoR data also shows that the majority of homes—141 across all three ZIP codes—sold for between $300,000-$499,999.
