Tina Zander was sworn into office as the new chief deputy treasurer for Williamson County on July 5.
Zander has a background in banking, with 16 years spent at First State Bank of Central Texas, according to a news release from the county. Williamson County treasurer Jerri Jones said she is excited about the new skill-set Zander brings.
“There is so much new technology in the banking world, and I look forward to her expertise and leadership in navigating the new capabilities,” Jones said.
As chief deputy treasurer, Zander will work as the county’s banker and investment officer and is responsible for almost all money belonging to the county or given to county officials, according to the news release.
Zander will also work with the Williamson County Commissioners Court, reporting on the investment and removal of county reserve funds as well as signing checks.
