The Cullen Trust for Higher Education and Southwestern University donated $100,000 to Georgetown's The Caring Place on July 13 to aid the organization in fulfilling its mission—to provide for the basic human needs of all people in Georgetown, according to a news release.
The donation is part of an emergency response to help individuals and families who have been impacted by the coronavirus pandemic, it said.

The current seven-day rolling positivity rate, or the rate which tests return positive, is 8.71%, data shows. Over the three-day period, Williamson County’s rate dropped below 10% for the first time since mid-June, data shows.
Rapid nasal swab antigen tests are recommended as options for individuals who were potentially exposed to a confirmed positive carrier, as well as for people traveling, returning to work or undergoing a medical procedure.
