What’s happening?
If approved on its second and final reading, the amendment outlines the extension, which would connect Parmer Ranch Boulevard from FM 2338 to Ronald Reagan Boulevard, according to city documents.
Developers with Heirloom Georgetown, a master-planned community near the intersection of Ronald Reagan Boulevard and FM 2338, are hoping to break ground in early 2026 and told council members they will construct the extension of the boulevard during a March 25 City Council workshop.
Why now?
Since Parmer Ranch Boulevard currently ends at Williams Drive, the extension would provide traffic circulation and better alignment for future residents by providing a major roadway in a centralized location, per city documents.
Keep in mind
The Georgetown Planning and Zoning Commission unanimously recommended approval of the request during a July 15 meeting.
The amendment requires a second reading and vote before any changes go into effect.
