The Williamson County and Cities Health District is administering free influenza shots at their clinics throughout flu season for anyone six months old and up.

What you need to know

Following a brief exam ensuring a patient’s safety and eligibility, the vaccine can be received at one of WCCHD’s three clinic locations in either Cedar Park, Round Rock or Taylor, a WCCHD official said in an email to Community Impact.

To schedule a free appointment, call the WCCHD at 512-943-3600 or 512-248-3257. No health insurance is required, and some walk-in days are available, according to the WCCHD’s website.

The clinic’s hours are:
  • Monday-Thursday: 7 a.m.-noon 1-5 p.m.
  • Friday: 8 a.m.-noon
  • Saturday-Sunday: closed
The vaccine first became available through the program in early September, and clinics will continue offering them through the flu season, the WCCHD official said.

  • Older people
  • Young children
