As summer begins to wind down, Georgetown Parks & Recreation officials announced the final days to swim at four pools.

What you need to know

The pools will operate according to the following schedules until their final swim dates, according to city documents.
  • River Ridge Pool, located at 414 S. Ridge Circle, operates from 2-9 p.m. daily, and is closed on Mondays and Wednesdays. The last day to swim at the pool is Aug. 13.
  • Village Pool, located at 370 Village Commons Blvd., operates from 2-9 p.m. daily, and is closed on Tuesdays and Thursdays. The last day to swim at the pool is Aug. 14.
  • The Recreation Center Outdoor Play Pool, located at 1003 N. Austin Ave., operates from 10 a.m.-7 p.m. Monday-Friday and 10 a.m.-6:30 p.m. on Saturday, and is closed on Sundays. The last day to swim at the pool is Aug. 14.
  • The Williams Drive Pool, located at 3201 Williams Drive, will be open from 1-7 p.m. on weekends from Aug. 15-Sept. 2. The last day to swim in the pool is Sept. 2.
One more thing

The Georgetown Recreation Center will be closed from Aug. 26-Sept. 2 for annual maintenance.

Staff will be on-site to answer phones from 8 a.m.-5 p.m. Aug. 26-30. During the closure, staff members will also focus on training and administrative tasks.


Annual maintenance includes:
  • Targeted cleaning throughout building
  • Facility flooring and painting projects
  • Replacing plumbing fixtures
  • Deep cleaning fitness room equipment
Additionally, the Village Pool will be open daily from 9 a.m.-3 p.m. Aug. 26-30 for Recreation Center members to use.
