Kenyans in Austin Annual Thanksgiving Dinner

Mission Adventure: Wild Whirlpool Caving
This one-day adventure to the Whirlpool Cave in Austin is for children ages 11-14. Helmets, knee pads, gloves and instruction will be provided.

The Annual Lighting of the Square
Attendees can sing along with the Uptown Carolers and see the Georgetown Square lit up for the holidays. The downtown holiday lights will remain lit every evening through Jan. 1.

Sweet Eats Adventure Farm will host Santa every weekend and his reindeer every day for photo opportunities. Additionally, ticket holders can enjoy more than 30 activities including pony rides, pig races, a petting zoo and a hay maze.

Shoppers who visit all participating boutiques are entered to win a gift basket and a portion of sales will go to a local non-profit. San Gabriel River will be stocked with rainbow trout for children ages 12 and under to enjoy a fishing competition. Pre-registration is required and all youth participants must be accompanied by an adult guardian.

Volunteers from Cook-Walden Davis Funeral Home, Blue Santa and the Rotary Club of Georgetown-Sun City will be on-site to collect new, unwrapped toys and monetary donations. Community members can also drop off toys at the funeral home leading up to the event.

Participants are invited to explore five decorated homes in Georgetown’s Old Town District during Preservation Georgetown’s annual Holiday Home Tour. The organization is also partnering with Georgetown ISD for a free open house Dec. 9 at the Hammerlun Center for Leadership and Learning, which is celebrating its 100 year anniversary.
