Lighting of the Square
The Georgetown Square will light up each night through Jan. 2. Due to the coronavirus pandemic, there will not be hot chocolate and kettle corn vendors downtown as in years past, but the event will also be capture and shared via social media by the city. Sunset. Home for the Holidays
Put on by the Williamson County Regional Animal Shelter, Home for the Holidays is a foster home drive through Jan. 6 that saves the lives of the lost and abandoned pets of Williamson County and raises awareness about the importance of pet adoption during the holiday season. Holiday donation event
M*A*S*H, which stands for Make a Smile Happen, is a drive-thru donation drop-off event benefitting several Georgetown nonprofits. The nonprofits are seeking gifts for children and teenagers, food, pet supplies and cash donations. Commemorative T-shirts will be available for individuals who either donate $20, 10 canned goods, five toys, or two bags of pet food. For a full list of donation ideas, click here. 8 a.m.-8 p.m. Free.
