All campuses in Georgetown were closed Jan. 31-Feb. 2 as storm debris and power outages prevented students from attending school.
Superintendent Fred Brent said this is a traditional resolution that the district has done each time it closes school due to weather.
The district said it has enough minutes built into its calendar year to excuse two days of closures. The district does not yet know if it will have to make up the third day, according to Director of Communications Melinda Brasher.
Whenever instructional days are missed due to inclement weather, health, safety or other concerns, districts or campuses may obtain a waiver for excused absences, according to the Texas Education Agency.
