Georgetown ISD sets tax rate $0.0319 lower than previous year
Georgetown ISD trustees voted to adopt a lower tax rate in the 2020-21 tax year.
The board voted unanimously Aug. 17 to adopt a tax rate of $1.3071 per $100 in valuation. The rate will be down $0.0319 from 2019-20, when it was $1.339 per $100 of taxable value.
YMCA of Greater Williamson County to offer remote learning assistance for Georgetown ISD families
The YMCA of Greater Williamson County will offer two remote learning assistance sites for Georgetown ISD families from Aug. 20-Sept. 9. The two sites will be at Carver Elementary and Wolf Ranch Elementary schools.
Georgetown ISD student schedules available Aug. 17
Georgetown ISD students and parents will be able to access schedules for the upcoming school year Aug. 17, according to a district announcement.
UPDATED: Georgetown ISD to offer in-person classes Aug. 20 for certain special education students
Georgetown ISD students who spend a majority of their school day in special education courses will be able to attend in-person classes beginning Aug. 20, the district’s first day of school, GISD Executive Director of Communications Melinda Brasher confirmed.
