Marcos Gonzalez has been elected to Place 6 on Georgetown ISD's board of trustees, according to unofficial results Saturday.

Gonzalez's early lead over Stevie Jones held after all polling locations reported results.

Gonzalez received 51.32 percent to Jones' 48.68 percent, according to the Williamson County Elections Department.

Marcos Gonzalez has an 84-vote lead over Stevie Jones in the election race for Place 6 on Georgetown ISD's board of trustees, according to updated vote counts.

With 3,180 votes counted, Gonzalez has received 51.32 percent to Jones' 48.68 percent, according to the Williamson County Elections Department.

Marcos Gonzalez has a small lead over Stevie Jones in the election race for Place 6 on the Georgetown ISD board of trustees, according to early voting returns Saturday.

Gonzalez has received 50.78 percent of votes so far, according to counts from the Williamson County Elections Department. Jones has received 49.22 percent.

County officials report 2,568 early voting ballots have been counted.

Place 6 is one of two seats on the seven-member GISD board up for election Saturday. Incumbent Greg Eady is not running for re-election to the Place 6 seat.

Gonzalez, who works in the banking industry, is a board member at the Georgetown Education Foundation. Jones, a mortgage loan originator, spent more than a decade working as an early education teacher.

Both candidates spent time Friday and Saturday encouraging voter turnout.

GISD trustees serve three-year terms and are elected at-large by voters.

Results are unofficial until votes are canvassed.
