Jeremiah’s Italian Ice is slated to open near the Georgetown Square later this summer.

The Italian dessert shop will serve scratch-made Italian ice, soft-serve ice cream and gelati, a dessert featuring layers of ice cream and Italian ice topped with sprinkles, cookie crumbles or candy.

Italian ice is “lighter and more refreshing than ice cream but thicker, smoother and creamier than shaved ice,” Georgetown franchise owner and resident Allison Stubbs said.

The Georgetown location will include indoor and patio seating.

What's on the menu

Jeremiah’s Italian Ice serves more than 40 flavors of Italian ice made daily in house, including cherry, lemon, cotton candy, cookie butter, and cookies and cream. Popular flavors include Scoop Froggy Frog, a mint chocolate chip Italian ice, and a strawberry, lemon, mango and coconut Italian Ice called Bahama Freeze, Stubbs said.

Jeremiah’s Italian Ice opened in Leander in November and has another Austin-area location in Cedar Park. The national franchise opened in 1996 in Florida.
