Willie’s Grill & Icehouse celebrates 30th anniversary

Willie’s Grill & Icehouse locations across Texas will be celebrating 30 years in business throughout December. Officials said in a Dec. 4 news release the company has contributed more than $1.5 million in charitable donations over the past three decades.

The eatery’s philanthropic efforts include:

• Spirit Nights, in which local charities are given a portion of proceeds from that day’s sales
• Community sponsorships
• 10% discounts to first responders, teachers, firefighters and nurses
• 50% off meals for local law enforcement departments
• A portion of proceeds from the Fire & Icehouse Lager are donated to local fire departments

Founded in 1993 in Houston, the menu features burgers, nachos, seafood, tacos, chicken fried steak, sandwiches, soups, salads, beer and margaritas. Willie’s has 20 locations across the state and touts a family-friendly atmosphere.

To thank customers for their business over the years, the original Cheese Willie Burger will be available for $6.30 every Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday throughout December. The offer is available for both dine-in and online orders, but it may not be available at all locations.

"Giving back to our communities has always been a pillar of who we are, and we look forward to continuing the tradition as the brand moves into our next era."
