Willie’s Grill & Icehouse locations across Texas will be celebrating 30 years in business throughout December. Officials said in a Dec. 4 news release the company has contributed more than $1.5 million in charitable donations over the past three decades.
The eatery’s philanthropic efforts include:
- Spirit Nights, in which local charities are given a portion of proceeds from that day’s sales
- Community sponsorships
- 10% discounts to first responders, teachers, firefighters and nurses
- 50% off meals for local law enforcement departments
- A portion of proceeds from the Fire & Icehouse Lager are donated to local fire departments
To thank customers for their business over the years, the original Cheese Willie Burger will be available for $6.30 every Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday throughout December. The offer is available for both dine-in and online orders, but it may not be available at all locations.
"We are thrilled to be celebrating 30 years of serving Texans our icehouse classics and welcoming families through our doors," Willie’s Restaurants CEO Greg Lippert said in the release. "Giving back to our communities has always been a pillar of who we are, and we look forward to continuing the tradition as the brand moves into our next era."
