A 50,000-square-foot senior living community is making its way to New Braunfels.
What you need to know
Herbelin Road Assisted Living, located at 432 Herbelin Road, will offer 70 studio units centered on social living, owner and developer James Mamary, Jr. said. Each unit will be about 400 square feet and come fully furnished.
The community will also have a dining room, living room, library, bistro and lobby area.
The project is being designed by Austin-based Pi Architects. Mamary, Jr. said the community will have a mid-century modern design with limestone and natural wood on the building's interior and exterior.

Mamary Jr. said they are expecting to break ground in Q1 of 2027 and are targeting a late 2027 completion.
