Marie was at home with her four kids when her husband, Chad, a director at Dell Technologies, brainstormed the idea of opening a Just Love Coffee franchise.
“With no previous experience ... we felt like God really called us to this,” Marie said.
Just Love Coffee was founded in 2009 by Rob and Emily Webb in Nashville. Their story boasts a strong emotional background and purpose that they said the Talleys were instantly drawn to.
“[The Webbs] opened [the first Just Love Coffee] to provide financial support for families going through the adoption process,” Marie said. “They really are the most selfless people you could ever meet.”
Opening the fifth store in 2019, the Talleys were given a strong sense of autonomy and creativity.
“We told them, ‘We can’t serve breakfast in Texas without the option of a breakfast taco,’” Marie said. “And they were totally on board with that.”
Just Love Coffee Georgetown also boosts local agricultural efforts by using local dairy products and salsa.
“I love going to the farmers market and finding something I can use here,” Marie said.
Just Love Coffee’s menu includes decadent waffle combos such as the Berry Bo Berry that has blackberries, strawberries, raspberries and blueberries topped with whipped cream; classic sandwiches such as the BLT; and vegetarian-friendly and gluten-free options.
“We utilize the waffle iron in a variety of ways,” Marie said. “If you have never tried to make a quesadilla in a waffle iron, it can be done.”
The food menu is accompanied by a long list of caffeinated beverages ranging from a traditional macchiato to sweeter, coffee-based drinks.
