Georgetown
District Six restaurant now open in Georgetown
District Six, or D6, opened in Georgetown on March 5. The place is an elevated neighborhood sports restaurant with a large back patio, arcade games and 21 televisions dedicated to all sports. There are also 40 draft beers and wines as well as craft cocktails. District Six is located at 105 W. Ninth St., Georgetown. District Six will be open for lunch only March 5-8 with regular hours beginning March 10.

“It’s a Texas-inspired neighborhood bar and grill,” owner Trey Wolslager said. “A lot of the things we do is obviously very Texas heavy, ... Texas comfort food.”

Guy Fieri, national restaurateur and Food Network icon, this winter opened a location of Guy Fieri’s Flavortown Kitchen at 3612 Tudor Blvd., Austin, near the Gateway Center. The restaurant operates out of a ghost kitchen space and serves food to go, including burgers, wings, salads and appetizers such as cheesesteak egg rolls.
North Austin cafe Turnstile Coffee, Beer and Spirits expands with kitchen space
Nearly a full year after Turnstile Coffee, Beer and Spirits temporarily closed one day after it opened due to the coronavirus pandemic, the North Austin watering hole has announced it is expanding its operation.

The Kebab Shop to bring Mediterranean fare to Round Rock this summer
The Kebab Shop will open a Round Rock location at 2800 S. I-35, Ste. 304, Round Rock, this summer. The restaurant has locations in east Austin and the Arboretum, with menu items including falafel, kebabs, carved chicken, carved lamb/beef, wraps and salads.
Cork & Barrel to celebrate Round Rock opening this March
Cork & Barrel Craft Kitchen + Microbrewery will celebrate the grand opening of its Round Rock location March 17. Located at 4000 E. Palm Valley Blvd., Round Rock, Cork & Barrel offers a wine cellar, a microbrewery and an outdoor beer garden.
