On May 23, Cimarron Hills launched its final phase of development for the community situated on Hwy. 29 between Liberty Hill and Georgetown.

What you need to know

Founded about 20 years ago, Cimarron Hills has tennis courts, a resort-style pool, a spa, a restaurant and a Jack Nicklaus-designed golf course, said Stephanie Duffin, Forterra Developers’ Cimarron Hills estate lot sales manager.

Over 600 homes are currently built at Cimarron Hills, Duffin said. The final phase will bring 200 estate lots ranging from 0.5-1.9 acres, with custom homes starting at 3,500 square feet, she said.

Combining lot prices and building costs, Duffin said the homes could range from $1.5 million-$4 million or higher, if buyers request additional features.

A closer look

Developers will build on two different sections north of the current homes at Cimarron Hills, according to documents from Forterra Developers.

The first section, The Reserve, will consist of 84 new lots with several backing up to the golf course, while The Range will add 116 lots—some with green space views, Duffin said.

Forterra Developers is a land acquisition and development company with 15 subdivisions and master-planned communities in the Austin metro, said Ramakrishna Kandula, Forterra Developers chief operating officer and co-founder, in an email to Community Impact.

Put in perspective

As of early July, there are 65 lots under contract or reserved by builders and individuals, and 135 left to purchase, Kandula said. Developers can begin building on lots in November, and Duffin said builders in the new phase include:“It's a really great community,” Duffin said. “It's like being on vacation.”
