A new commercial development, located at 200 W. 6th St., broke ground in Georgetown on Feb. 22.

In a nutshell

The groundbreaking ceremony was for a new 20,000-square-foot commercial development in downtown Georgetown, said Scott Stribling of Century 21 Hellman Stribling, the development’s property management company.

Stribling said the development will be three stories. The third-floor tenant will be Corridor Title, while Sneed, Vine & Perry P.C. will be the tenant for the second floor and half of the first floor. The remaining half of the first floor has not yet been leased, Stribling said.

Stribling said he expects the development to be complete by spring or summer 2025.

Sixthriver Architects will design the project, Paradigm Commercial will provide contractor services and financing will be provided by Frontier Bank of Texas.

What else?

Georgetown Mayor Josh Schroeder works as an attorney for Sneed, Vine & Perry P.C., who have leased part of the development.

Schroeder said Sneed, Vine & Perry P.C. started in Austin in 1926 and opened the Georgetown office in 1990, which is now bigger than the Austin office.

“We [Sneed, Vine & Perry P.C.] are committed to being invested in this community for the next 100 years,” Schroeder said.
