Williamson County and Cities Health District confirmed 25 new case of coronavirus April 27, bringing the county total to 287.

So far, 144 people have recovered. The current rate of recovery is 50%, the report stated. There are also currently eight people hospitalized, the report said.

On April 25, the county reported a cluster of positive cases in a Round Rock nursing home. WCCHD Executive Director Derrick Neal said not all the results were in as of April 25, adding that more may come, as more than 200 people were tested.

On April 26, the county announced 51 new cases.

The county also reported its sixth coronavirus-related death April 25. The individual was a male in his 70s.

Williamson County Judge Bill Gravell said the county is not legally able to release the specific counts in cities with fewer than 20,000 residents.
