The first symposium, titled “Race and Waste in an Aluminum Town: Performing Environmental Racism and Justice,” will be held in the McCombs Campus Center Ballroom and features a presentation by Pavithra Vasudevan, SU’s African & African Diaspora Studies professor. The second symposium is titled “We Deserve to be Children, We Deserve to Grow Up Too” and will be held in the McCombs Campus Center Ballroom.
