Starting Feb. 6, Georgetown has moved its bulky waste pickup to the regular trash day instead of Saturday, according to a Jan. 20 release from the city.

Bulky waste materials include furniture, mattresses, toilets, refrigerators, and washers and dryers.

Unacceptable items include, but are not limited to, tires, vehicle batteries and hazardous materials.

Larger trash items that do not fit into a residential cart cannot be left curbside as part of regular trash pickup, according the release.

Residents can request four free curbside bulky waste pickups per year through Texas Disposal Systems or by calling 512-930-1715. The TDS will not pick up items without a reservation.

Items need to be on the curb by 7 a.m. the day of pickup and cannot be placed outside more than 24 hours in advance of the scheduled pickup.

For a fee, residents may bring bulky waste to the collection station located at 250 W.L. Walden Drive, Georgetown.
