The Georgetown Recreation Center, located at 1003 N. Austin Ave., will be closed for a week for routine maintenance and upgrades to the center, according to an Aug. 24 announcement.

The center will be closed from Monday, Sept. 5 through Sunday, Sept. 11.

Upgrades include deep cleaning the floors and heavily trafficked areas, replacing existing fitness equipment in the weight room and installing new divider curtains in the main gymnasium.
