Georgetown residents will see several downtown road closures the first week of April. A list and map of closures were provided by the city of Georgetown's weekly newsletter.
According to the newsletter, Church Street will be closed at Seventh Street through April 2 for concrete crosswalk installation. Seventh Street will be closed from Main to Church streets April 6-7 for paving. Additionally, from April 6-7, Seventh Street will be closed to all traffic from Main to Church streets, and Church Street will be closed to all traffic from Seventh to Eighth streets.
These improvements are part of the 2020 Downtown Sidewalks and Americans with Disabilities Act improvements plan. Funding is provided by the 2015 city transportation bond.
