The Williamson County Sheriff’s Office released a new mobile app geared toward improving community policing efforts and providing an additional resource to residents, according to a Sept. 27 news release. The app provides access to website features such as contact us, submit a tip, inmate info, most wanted, sex offenders, and news and events, according to the release. The user will also be notified when events happen related to the Sheriff’s Office, the release said. The app is free for users to download on both Android and iOS mobile devices, the release said. To download, one should go to Google Play Store or Apple App Store and type “Williamson Sheriff” in the search bar, the release said. “The WCSO desire is to get as much information as possible to the public about the agency and the services provided using technology all within reach from your smart phone," Sheriff Robert Chody said in the release.
