Several election precinct boundary lines in Williamson County were adjusted at Tuesday morning's Williamson Commissioners Court meeting. Texas counties are divided into individual precincts and it is the responsibility of both the democratic and republican precinct chair to contact, guide and organize voters in their respective precinct. Chris Davis, the election administrator for the county said the state election code requires voting precincts to stay below 5,000 registered voters and that several precincts within the county were getting close to the maximum. The commissioners unanimously approved the changes which will take affect on January 1, 2018. Williamson County residents can find out more about their election precinct here.
