Here is what you need to know from Tuesday's Williamson County Commissioners Court meeting:

Berry Springs Park and Cedar Hollow
Several citizens shared their opinions concerning plans for a wastewater line at Berry Springs Park and low-water crossing issues at Cedar Hollow. County Judge Dan Gattis assured citizens that their opinions were being heard but that the county was still working to gather information, and the items would be on the court agenda in the future.

Road closures
After overnight rain, Senior Director of Infrastructure Robert Daigh addressed the court to inform the county that CR 123 at Brushy Creek and Brushy Bend Drive at Brushy Creek are currently closed. According to ATXfloods, CR 177 and CR 305 in Williamson County are also closed.

Improvements to Hwy. 29 and D.B. Wood Road
An open house to discuss proposed improvements to the intersection of Hwy. 29 at D.B. Wood Road in Georgetown will be held Feb. 23. The open house will be held from 6-8 p.m. at the First Baptist Church of Georgetown, located at 1333 W. University Ave. in Georgetown. Williamson County, in conjunction with the Texas Department of Transportation, will conduct the open house to gather public input and comments for the project.

According to the county, the purpose of the proposed project is to improve mobility and safety by adding turn lanes along Hwy. 29 and D.B. Wood as well as a raised median along Hwy. 29. The proposed improvements along Hwy. 29 would add dedicated right- and left-turn lanes and a raised median, matching the roadway section at the eastern end of the project. Northbound traffic on D.B. Wood at Hwy. 29 would have a dedicated left-turn lane, a single through lane, and a shared right-turn and through-traffic lane. Southbound D.B. Wood traffic would have two dedicated left-turn lanes, a single through lane, and a shared right-turn and through-traffic lane.
