2. New development to bring almost 400 homes to Georgetown
A new neighborhood will bring an estimated 395 single-family homes to Georgetown following Georgetown City Council’s recommendation to move forward with a municipal utility district for the development at a council work session Dec. 9.
The proposed 146-acre development, currently called Bell Sharkey, will be located on the northwest corner of East University Avenue and SH 130, an area the city has earmarked for mixed-density neighborhood zoning.

3. Bakery and cafe Paris Baguette planned for Georgetown
Paris Baguette, a bakery and cafe, will build its first Georgetown location, according to a filing with the Texas Department of Licensing and Regulation.
The bakery's menu offers tiramisu and tarts, breakfast pastries and other sweets as well as sandwiches and coffee.

5. New housing, retail and roads to serve residents along Ronald Reagan Boulevard in northwest Georgetown
New retail destinations, such as the H-E-B-anchored Parmer Ranch Marketplace, are bringing shopping options closer to home for the growing number of Georgetown residents located along Ronald Reagan Boulevard.
At least a dozen subdivisions are adding thousands of new homes to the stretch of road between Hwy. 195 and FM 3405, according to Georgetown’s development pipeline map.
These housing and retail projects are “plugging into the ecosystem” of northwest Georgetown’s rapid growth, opening up development opportunities in what was once an untapped market, said Logan Kimble, vice president of Columnar Land, the developer behind the area’s 620-acre Heirloom mixed-use project.
