This October through December, Georgetown locals can find live entertainment, hazardous waste cleanup events and ways to celebrate the holiday season. Upcoming events include the Williamson County Fair and the Lighting of the Square.

Williamson County Fair

Community members can gather at the new Williamson County Expo Center for the fifth annual Williamson County Fair and Rodeo. The four-day event will have live music, a petting zoo, pig races, carnival rides, food, rodeo activities and more.

Household Hazardous Waste Cleanup

Williamson County will host a hazardous waste collection event for residents to safely dispose of materials. Residents may bring materials such as antifreeze, brake fluid, pesticides, paint and more, limited to five gallons per vehicle.U.S. Marine Band Concert

The United States Marine Band will perform a free concert at the Klett Performing Arts Center as part of the band's tour. Community members can reserve up to four free tickets per request.Hazardous waste collection event


The city of Georgetown will host a collection event for hazardous waste materials such as batteries, cellphones, hearing aids and pool chemicals. Participants must register online prior to the event. Registration will be capped at 500 people. In order to participate, community members must be customers of the Texas Disposal Systems in the city of Georgetown.

Williamson County 50 year 5K run

To celebrate 50 years of Williamson County EMS, runners can gather for a 5K walk or run and a children's 1K at River Ranch Country Park. Proceeds from the event will benefit the Williamson County Children's Advocacy Center. The event is open to all runners, walkers and onlookers.

Christmas Event at Sagamore Fence & Deck

Locals can celebrate Christmas with Sagamore Fence & Deck at the upcoming event featuring photos with Santa, tree stand decorating, hot chocolate and more. Sagamore Fence & Deck will also host a toy drive at the event and distribute a raffle ticket to win a gift basket for each toy donated.Cowboy Casino 9th Annual Soirèe: A Coming Together for Kids


Williamson County invites everyone to attend the Cowboy Casino Soirèe benefiting The Georgetown Project, the Boys and Girls Club of Georgetown and The Georgetown Family YMCA. The ninth annual soiree will be held at the Georgetown Airport and feature western-themed casino games, food, live entertainment and drinks.

Community members can visit downtown Georgetown for the annual Christmas Stroll on the square. Attendees can expect a variety of live entertainment, retail services, food options, family-friendly activities and a parade.
