The pet store sells supplies and products specifically for dogs, including toys, treats, food, supplements, lick mats and bowls, and skin and ear treatments. Owner Damian Thompson said he researches and handpicks unique products for the store, some of which come from overseas. The Central Texas Mexican chain serves burritos, tacos, enchiladas, seafood and fajitas. The new Leander restaurant, located in Bar W Marketplace, is the company’s seventh location, and features 21 beers on tap, a party room for events and booth seating.4. Smile Solutions Dentistry

5. Floor & Decor


The retailer will move into the former H-E-B locations off I-35. A representative with H-E-B said the company sold the property to a buyer who was working with Floor & Decor on Feb. 5. The building will now undergo a $7.2 million renovation, according to a Texas Department of Licensing and Regulation filing. The store sells tile, natural stone, wood, and luxury and laminate vinyl plank, tools, wall tile, decorative materials and accessories for hard-surface flooring projects.6. The Children's Therapy Spot

The clinic will offer speech, occupational and some physical therapy services to toddlers, children and adolescents ages 1-14. The business accepts most commercial insurance plans and does not have a waitlist, owner and director Marcus Neal said.7. Patriot Animal Hospital

Specializing in health care for cats and dogs, the new animal hospital will offer wellness exams, surgeries such as spay and neuter and dental services, among other care options. The family- and veteran-owned business is led by local husband and wife Freddy and Amy Mitchell.8. Country Donuts

The doughnut shop’s menu includes a variety of frosted and filled donuts along with kolaches, sandwiches, croissants and coffee. This will be the second store for owner Johnny Khan, who also runs the business’s Hutto location.

9. Anchor Austin Church


The missional Indian church will begin holding Sunday evening worship services on Easter. The church currently holds small groups on Friday evenings at various locations, game nights, and cricket and chai events. 11. Rivery Coffee & Bagels


Formerly operating as Rivery Coffeehouse & Desserts, the business changed its name Jan. 16. The newly renamed cafe now serves an array of specialty bagels sourced from New York and has updated its breakfast and lunch menu. The shop also serves coffee, loose-leaf tea and European pastries.12. Texas Traditions Roofing

Company President Michael Pickel and General Manager Bryan Chisholm purchased the family-owned business Jan. 1 from the retiring founders Mike Pickel and Gary Emory. The 10-year-old business provides roof replacement, repair, maintenance, construction and solar shingle installation services to the Austin metro area.13. Williamson County Precinct 3 Justice of the Peace

The office lobby temporarily closed for renovations Feb. 26. The work—which is expected to last around four weeks—will give the facility a new look and is intended to improve the experience of customers. Services will be available online or by phone during the closure.14. Edward Jones

The financial advising company is slated to remodel its downtown office in downtown Georgetown to become compliant with the Americans with Disabilities Act and more user-friendly, a company representative said. The locally owned coffee shop celebrated its five-year anniversary Feb. 4. The downtown spot offers espresso drinks, coffee, teas, canned beverages, beer and wine.
