The Central Texas area's extremely dry stretch will continue for a while longer.
A large ridge of high pressure is steering Pacific moisture into the Northwestern United States and at the same time ensuring a dry flow into Texas.
A cold front brought no rain early Wednesday and another cold front is due on Friday. This one too, is not likely to bring any rain.
Temperatures will be a few degrees cooler on Friday and into the weekend, but without any arctic air.
