A memorial service will be held tonight at 7 p.m. for Harrison Brown, the victim in Monday's stabbing at The University of Texas at Austin.

In a message to the UT community Wednesday morning, President Gregory Fenves encouraged people to attend and "show your support."

Brown, a first-year student at UT, was fatally stabbed Monday afternoon. Three other students were also injured in the stabbing. One person, 21-year-old Kendrex J. White, was arrested in connection with the stabbing.

The memorial service will be held at 7 p.m. at UT's Main Mall, located at 110 Inner Campus Drive.

"The sadness and pain that comes with the death of this young student is immeasurable, and it will stay with us for the rest of our lives," Fenves said in the email to UT faculty, staff and students.
