The Eanes ISD board of trustees approved May 10 the spending of a $2 million donation on field lights for the practice field at Hill Country Middle School as well as field lights and artificial turf at Westlake High School’s Field No. 3.

The donation, made by Tires Made Easy, was given last September to be used to fund upgrades to district athletic fields, according to background information provided in the meeting agenda packet. The four field lights at WHS cost $133,800, and the installation cost is $95,619. The installation of the artificial turf costs $677,000.

The two field lights at HCMS cost $97,100, and the installation cost is $101,246.
