The new stadium also includes grandstands, dugouts and parking.
Future building plans include grandstand covers and a 12,000-square-foot athletic facility that will house locker rooms, training areas, a weight room and offices, Concordia President and CEO Don Christian said.
“There was a feeling of immense pride that so many had the opportunity to witness Concordia University Texas history,” Athletic Director Ronda Seagraves said. “The players, both current and alums, and a dedicated coaching staff now have a top, premier facility to call home every day. Campus administrators and facility folks who took part in the fundraising efforts and field design got to see a concept become a reality. Lastly, it was a great feeling to see a campus community come together to show support for our team as they took the field for the first time.”
