Trustee Kendall Pace was named board president, trustee Paul Saldaña was named vice president, and trustee Julie Cowan was named board secretary, according to a news release. All three trustees have served since Nov. 2014. The board held officer elections in the wake of trustee Gina Hinojosa's resignation as board president Dec. 14. Hinojosa filed as a candidate for the Texas House of Representatives District 49 election, she said Dec. 14 during a board meeting. Hinojosa remains on the board as a trustee. Trustee Amber Elenz served as vice president, and trustee Jayme Mathias served as board secretary prior to the officer elections Jan. 19.
