Christine Camacho Elementary School is opening Aug. 24 for the first day of school and is hosting a series of events for parents to get to know the campus. Events include new family orientation, a tour of the campus and meeting Principal Terri Breaux. Parents can participate in the following activities: David Weaver/Community Impact Newspaper Camacho Elementary School opens Aug. 24 for the first day of classes.[/caption] Aug. 13—New family orientation is hosted from 6:30-8 p.m. The evening includes a scavenger hunt throughout parts of the campus. Construction will not yet be fully complete on the campus, however parents will be able to visit designated areas, according to Leander ISD. Aug. 15—From 10:30-11:30 a.m. kindergarteners can meet their teachers while parents have the opportunity to talk with Principal Terri Breaux about the school, as well as student and parent expectations. Aug. 19—Breaux will greet CES families at their homes. Aug. 20—An open house is hosted from 5:30-7:30 p.m. for parents to visit the entire campus, including their children’s classrooms.
