The fall 2016 opening of Leander ISD’s Tom Glenn High School is spurring conversation about options for attendance rezoning.

Potential rezoning options were presented to the LISD board March 5 to include scenarios for the district’s future growth as TGHS and a future seventh high school opens. Potential options were designed using demographer projections, according to LISD.

Scenario A, for example, would have students who live in neighborhoods east of US 183, north of FM 2243 and north of the South San Gabriel River attend TGHS. Additionally, students residing in the Escalera Ranch and Reagan Overlook neighborhoods would be the only students zoned for Stiles Middle School that would feed into TGHS.
