Williamson County reports early voting turnout at 48.49 percent

With early voting polling locations for the 2018 midterms now closed, the Williamson County Elections Department reports 48.49 percent of registered voters in the county cast ballots between Oct. 22-Nov. 2.

County elections officials report 163,126 ballots were cast during early voting, a total that includes ballots cast in person and by mail as well as limited and provisional ballots, according to an unofficial vote count.

The total tops early ballots cast during the 2016 presidential election and is by far the highest early turnout level for midterm elections in Williamson County over the past decade.

Election Day is Tuesday, Nov. 6. Registered voters in Williamson County can cast ballots at any Election Day polling location.

Williamson County early voting turnout at 37.48 percent as of Oct. 30

As early voting for the 2018 midterms closes in on its final day, the Williamson County Elections Department reports 37.48 percent of registered voters have cast ballots as of Tuesday.

The total ballot count through Tuesday stood at 126,083, according to preliminary data. The total included 8,997 ballots cast by mail as well as 468 limited ballots and 169 provisional ballots.

Williamson County’s busiest early voting polling location through Tuesday was at the Brushy Creek Community Center in Round Rock, which reported 11,157 ballots cast.

Other top locations included: Cedar Park Randalls, 10,948 ballots cast; Cedar Park Public Library, 10,461 ballots cast; and Round Rock Randalls, 10,078 ballots cast.

Early voting continues through Friday. Election Day is Nov. 6. Registered voters in Williamson County can cast ballots at any polling location within the county.

More than 100,000 people have voted already in Williamson County as of Oct. 28

More than 100,000 ballots have been cast through the first full week of early voting in Williamson County, according to unofficial counts from the county elections department.

Early voting continues until Friday. Election Day is Nov. 6.

County elections officials report the 105,086 ballots cast so far in early voting includes 8,108 ballots cast by mail, 325 limited ballots and 119 provisional ballots. The total represents 31.24 percent of Williamson County voters.

Registered voters can cast ballots at any polling location in Williamson County.

Williamson County reports 22.5 percent early voting turnout so far

Daily ballot counts are starting to taper off at polling locations, but with 75,786 votes cast through Thursday, early voting turnout in Williamson County stands this morning at 22.5 percent, according to preliminary data from county elections officials.

On Thursday, the fourth day of early voting for the 2018 midterms, 15,058 ballots were cast, a total that includes in-person, by-mail and limited-ballot voting.

Updated totals from earlier this week include:

  • Monday, Oct. 22: 23,517 ballots cast
  • Tuesday, Oct. 23: 20,825 ballots cast
  • Wednesday, Oct. 24: 16,386 ballots cast

UPDATE: Williamson County early voting turnout now tops 60,000

After three days of early voting in the 2018 midterms, the Williamson County Elections Department reports 60,728 ballots have been cast, including 16,386 cast Wednesday, according to preliminary totals.

The count includes votes cast in person, by mail or with limited ballots. Registered voters in Williamson County can vote at any polling location.

The county’s busiest early voting locations through Wednesday include:

  • Cedar Park Randalls, 1400 Cypress Creek Road, Cedar Park: 5,300 ballots cast
  • Brushy Creek Community Center, 16318 Great Oaks Drive, Round Rock: 4,838 ballots cast
  • Cedar Park Public Library, 550 Discovery Blvd., Cedar Park: 4,330 ballots cast
  • Cowan Creek Amenity Center, 1433 Cool Spring Way, Georgetown: 4,326 ballots cast
  • Leander Public Library, 1011 S. Bagdad Road, Leander: 4,195 ballots cast

More than 20,000 votes in Williamson County’s second day of early voting

More than 20,000 people cast ballots during the second day of early voting in Williamson County, acccording to preliminary counts from the county elections department.

The preliminary numbers show 20,794 ballots cast Tuesday and an updated total of 23,518 ballots cast Monday, which was the first day of early voting for the 2018 midterms.

Williamson County first-day early voting at highest level in past decade

The first day of early voting in this year’s midterm elections in Williamson County saw 23,496 ballots cast, which ranks as the county’s highest first-day early voting total for November midterm and presidential elections in the past decade, according to data from the county’s elections department.

Early voters on Monday surpassed the mark set by first-day early voters in 2016, when county officials reported 18,058 ballots cast. The previous midterm election in 2014 saw 4,251 ballots cast during the first day of early voting.

The first-day total includes 20,245 ballots cast in person and 2,753 ballots cast by mail as well as 32 limited ballots, according to the data.

Registered voters in Williamson County can cast ballots at any polling location.

The busiest polling locations Monday included:

  • Cedar Park Randalls, 1400 Cypress Creek Road, Cedar Park: 1,939 ballots cast
  • Brushy Creek Community Center, 16318 Great Oaks Drive, Round Rock: 1,851 ballots cast
  • Cowan Creek Amenity Center, 1433 Cool Spring Way, Georgetown: 1,567 ballots cast
  • Leander Public Library, 1011 S. Bagdad Road, Leander: 1,541 ballots cast
  • J.B. and Hallie Jester Annex, 1801 E. Old Settlers Blvd., Round Rock: 1,534 ballots cast
