WHAT WE REPORTED Josh and Paige Kaner, owners of local pizza and pastrami restaurant and bakery Pieous, are in the process of building Pieous Mecca, a new flagship location in the forthcoming Belterra Village development they plan to relocate to sometime in late 2017 or early 2018.
THE LATEST Construction has not yet begun; however, the Kaners have met with architects and are working on a rough draft for the building’s design.
“The idea with Mecca is to build a bigger, better Pieous,” he said.
The business’s adjacent coffee, tea and pastry takeout shop, Pie-e-tea, will also relocate to Pieous Mecca.
