LT Corner Pub plans to open in the Lakeway' Plaza Center around Oct. 24, owner Stacy Mercer said.[/caption]

Following a month-long research trip to Ireland, Lakeway resident Stacy Mercer is set to open LT Corner Pub, 1310 S. RR 620, Ste. B-12, Lakeway, in the Lakeway Plaza Center by the end of October.

She said she has experience in the bar and restaurant business and is estimating an Oct. 24 opening date for the bar that is located in the former Jasper's Big Dog Saloon location.  The pub will have a small menu, and Mercer said she is planning on doubling the amount of beer on tap to eight, including Irish favorites such as Guinness and Harp as well as local brews.

"We are gearing up to be a 'Cheers'-type bar with an Irish flair," Mercer said.

She said she relocated to the area about 18 months ago based on recommendations by her boyfriend, a native Texan.

"We fell in love with the Lakeway area and decided that this was where we want to be," Mercer said. "We just want to jump in and embrace the community."
