A second phase of the Village at Kohlers Crossing, a mixed-use development project at the intersection of Kohlers Crossing and Berner Road in Kyle, is on track to be completed in October. “Retail in Plum Creek has been kind of sparse,”said Clay Little, founding partner of NoackLittle Architecture and Interiors, the company that designed the project. “We’re hoping to get a coffee shop or a pharmacy and a few things some folks in the area need and can use.” The development was always intended to grow, Little said. The project is owned by Austin-based Kemp Properties. Phase II, which will be located next door and connected to the first phase by a parking lot, will consist of two more buildings to house multiple tenants. It will be similar to Phase I of the project in terms of design. “The materials and colors are all exactly the same, so it will mesh very well,” Little said. “But the buildings are all unique in their own way.” Each of the new buildings will be 9,800 square feet, and one has been designed with a drive-thru for a potential pharmacy. The area will also be pedestrian-friendly, Little said. Construction on Phase II began in late April, and despite delays caused by rain, is still on track to be completed in mid-October. Little said that while no leases for the new buildings have been signed yet, he’s optimistic. “We’re getting lots of interest,” he said. “If this goes well, there will be a Phase III.”
