On May 19, Austin City Council approved an agreement with the Texas Department of Transportation to relocate existing water and wastewater lines in the area of the MoPac Intersections project, which runs along MoPac from Davis Lane in the north to La Crosse Avenue in the south.

The council authorized the use of about $1.5 million from the fiscal year 2015-16 Austin Water capital budget for the relocations.

In the fall, TxDOT plans to construct overpasses at Slaughter Lane and La Crosse over MoPac as well as new mainlanes for MoPac that will run underneath the overpasses.
