The deadline is March 21 for city of Dripping Springs residents to respond to a community survey to update the city’s comprehensive plan.
As of Feb. 29, more than 1,000 participants have taken the survey, which aims to identify goals and recommendations that represent the community’s concerns and values, according to a news release. Input received as part of the survey will be incorporated into a document outlining actions for the community, which will go to the Dripping Springs City Council for consideration.
City staff, council members and community leaders are working to update the plan, which is being used to develop the city’s long-term vision for community development. The council appointed a steering committee that includes citizens, business owners and volunteers to guide that process, including gathering public input as part of the first phase. The city plans to hold town hall meetings in the coming months as part of the second phase, according to the news release.
