The Pflugerville Community Development Corp. board of directors named Amy Madison the executive director Feb. 11.

Madison has served as interim executive directory since July 2015 and first joined the organization in January 2014 as assistant executive director.

“I appreciate the board of directors’ confidence in me as a proven economic development professional. I believe they reviewed the many successes I have achieved in the short time I served as interim, and the fact that I also have a full pipeline,” Madison said in a statement.

The PCDC board conducted a six-month long nationwide search for a new executive director, before deciding on making Madison the permanent director.

“What we found is that our best candidate with the most applicable experience and grit to get the job done was already serving in the role as interim executive director,” PCDC board President Wayne Cooper said in a statement.

Madison previously served six years as CEO of the Greater San Marcos Partnership, an economic development organization for Hays and Caldwell counties.
