Sunset Valley City Council approved hiring an architecture firm Dec. 2 to create a development plan for a new police and public works facility.

Council unanimously approved an agreement with Wiginton Hooker Jeffry Architects for $52,820.

WHJA will meet with Police Chief Sean Ford, Public Works Director Katy Phillips and City Administrator Clay Collins to discuss plans.

WHJA will also perform a needs assessment, review existing site conditions and produce a conceptual site layout, according to city documents.

The firm estimates the plan will take 10 to 11 weeks to complete from the time the contract is signed.
