The Texas Department of Transportation announced the following Austin-area road closures this week, Oct. 25-Oct. 28. They are listed by the roadway they affect:

Interstate 35 (Hays County)

  • Various southbound closures on the southbound access road between SH 123 and RM 12. 8 p.m.-5 a.m. Sunday-Thursday.
  • Various single lane closures on the southbound access road between SL 82 and SH 123. 8 p.m.-5 a.m. Sunday-Thursday.
  • Various single lane closures on the northbound access road between SH 123 and the Blanco River. 8 p.m.-5 a.m. Sunday-Thursday.
  • Various closures on the inside lane of the northbound access road between the Blanco River and RM 150. 9 a.m.-3 p.m. Wednesday-Friday.
  • Various shoulder closures in both directions between the Comal County line and Travis County lines. 9 a.m.-4 p.m. through Friday.
  • The inside lane of the southbound access road will be closed between Cabelas Drive and Robert S. Light Boulevard until further notice.

Interstate 35 (Travis County)

  • Multiple northbound lane closures between Onion Creek and Slaughter Lane from 9 p.m. Tuesday until 5 a.m. Wednesday. The inside lane on the main lanes and access road close at 9 p.m. and the center main lane closes at 11 p.m.
  • Reduced to one northbound lane between Woodward Street and Holly Street from 9 p.m. until 5 a.m. Tuesday and Wednesday nights. The Woodward Street entrance ramp will be closed Wednesday night.
  • Reduced to one southbound lane between Manor Road and Cesar Chavez Street. 10 p.m.-6 a.m. Sunday-Thursday.
  • Various closures on the access roads in both directions between Slaughter Lane and Hays County. 8 p.m.-5 a.m. Monday-Thursday.
  • Reduced to one southbound outside lane between Stassney Lane and Slaughter Lane. 10 p.m.-6 a.m. Monday-Thursday. The entrance ramp before Stassney Lane will also be closed.
  • The outside lane on the northbound access road will be closed between Howard Lane and Wells Branch Pkwy. 9 a.m.-3 p.m. Monday-Thursday.
  • The southbound outside lane will be closed under 51st Street from 9 p.m. Thursday until 5 a.m. Friday.
  • Reduced to one northbound outside lane between Slaughter Lane and US 290 from 9 p.m. Thursday until 5 a.m. Friday.
  • The southbound access road will be reduced to one lane between US 290 and Slaughter Lane from 9 a.m. until 3 p.m. Friday.

Interstate 35 (Williamson County)

  • The south-to-north turnaround at McNeil Road will be closed through Oct. 28.

US 183

  • Reduced to one northbound lane between Vargas Street and Bolm Road. 8 p.m.-6 a.m. Monday-Thursday.
  • The southbound lanes will be closed across the Colorado River. 8 p.m.-6 a.m. Monday-Thursday. Traffic will detour at the Montopolis Drive exit to cross the river on the old bridge.
  • Reduced to one northbound lane between Loyola Lane and US 290 from 8 p.m. until 6 a.m. Wednesday and Thursday nights.
  • Various closures on the access roads in both directions between McNeil Road and Anderson Mill Road from 8 p.m. Thursday until 6 a.m. Friday.
  • The outside lane will be closed on the northbound access road between Rutherford Lane and Cameron Road from 7 a.m. until 2 p.m. weekdays through mid-November. Expect closures at Cameron Road as well.
  • The turnarounds in both directions at Manor/Springdale Road will be closed until further notice. Drivers will use the intersection.

US 290

  • Alternating closures in both directions between William Cannon Drive and Old Fredericksburg Road from 9 p.m. Wednesday until midnight.
  • The outside lane on the eastbound access road will be closed west of Parmer Lane until further notice.

SH 29

  • The shoulders will be closed in both directions between Inner Loop Drive and Mileham Creek bridge. 8 a.m.-7 p.m. Monday-Friday.
  • The outside lanes will be closed in both directions at locations between River Chase Boulevard and Cedar Hollow Road. 9 a.m.-4 p.m. Monday-Friday.

SH 71

  • Westbound traffic has shifted to temporary lanes between Ross Road and FM 973 through October. The traffic shift will extend to Terry Lane. A temporary off-ramp is also in place near Fallwell Lane so traffic can access local addresses.
  • The east to west turnaround at Spirit of Texas Drive will be closed through October.

SH 95

  • Various closures in both directions between Southpark Boulevard and Cratis Lane south of Taylor. 8:30 a.m.-4 p.m. Monday-Friday.

SH 130

  • Crews working on the outside shoulders in both directions from US 290 for 1/4 mile south. 9 a.m.-4 p.m. Monday-Friday.

MoPac

  • Details on additional closures for the Mopac Improvement Project are available at: www.mopacexpress.com
  • Reduced to one northbound lane between 35th and 45th streets from 9 p.m. Tuesday until 6 a.m. Wednesday. The 45th Street exit will be closed, and the entrance ramp from 35th Street closed from 9 p.m. until 11 p.m. Tuesday.
  • The southbound inside lane will be closed approaching Hancock Drive from 8 p.m. Tuesday until 5 a.m. Wednesday.
  • The northbound outside lane will be closed between the Colorado River and Enfield Road from 9 p.m. Tuesday until 6 a.m. Wednesday. The entrance ramps from Cesar Chavez and Sixth Street will also be closed.
  • The southbound outside lane will be closed between Anderson Lane and south of Far West Boulevard from 8 p.m. Tuesday until 5 a.m. Wednesday. The entrance ramps from Anderson Lane and Far West Boulevard will also be closed.
  • The southbound outside lane will be closed under US 183 from 8 p.m. Wednesday until 5 a.m. Thursday. The first Steck Avenue exit will also be closed during these hours.
  • The southbound Lake Austin Boulevard and 5th Street and Cesar Chavez Street exits will be closed from 8 p.m. Wednesday until 5 a.m. Thursday.
  • The northbound outside lane will be closed across Enfield Road from 8 p.m. until 5 a.m. Wednesday and Thursday nights. The entrance from Enfield Road will also be closed.
  • The northbound 35th Street exit will be closed from 9 Wednesday until 6 a.m. Thursday.
  • Reduced to one northbound lane between Westover Road and 45th Street from 9 p.m. until 6 a.m. Wednesday and Thursday nights. The entrance ramp from 35th Street will be closed Monday night.
  • The first southbound Steck Avenue exit will be closed from 8 p.m. Thursday until 5 a.m. Friday.
  • The northbound outside lane will be closed between Steck Avenue and US 183 from 9 p.m. Thursday until 5 a.m. Friday. The exits to Steck Avenue and to US 183 will also be closed.

South Congress Avenue

  • The northbound outside lane will be closed for 300-ft north of Slaughter Lane from 9 a.m. until 5 p.m. through Friday.
  • The northbound outside lane will be closed between West Mockingbird Lane and Wasson Road from 9 a.m. until 5 p.m. through Friday.

Capital of Texas Hwy.

  • Alternating lane closures in both directions between Lamar Boulevard and MoPac. 9 p.m.-5 a.m. Monday-Thursday.

FM 685

  • No access to/from Uvalde Drive in Hutto until further notice.

FM 972

  • One lane traffic control with flaggers between I-35 and FM 1105. 7 a.m.-5 p.m. Monday-Friday.

FM 973

  • The connection to and from Alice Avenue is permanently closed. Detour via Eva Street and Bessie Avenue.
  • Reduced to one lane each direction south of SH 71 for 1000-ft until further notice.

FM 1460

  • No access to/from High Tech Drive until further notice. Detour via Quail Valley Drive and Texstar Drive.

FM 3177-Decker Lane

  • One lane traffic control with flaggers between West Crest Lane and Daffan Lane. 9 a.m.-5 p.m. Monday-Friday.

FM 3406 (Old Settlers Blvd.)

  • Various lane closures in both directions between Chisholm Trail and Wyoming Springs Drive. 9 a.m.-4 p.m. Monday-Friday.

High Tech Drive (Georgetown)

  • Closed at FM 1460 until further notice. Detour via Quail Valley Drive and Texstar Drive.

Loyola Lane

  • Reduced to one westbound lane between Millrace Drive and US 183 from 9 a.m. until 3 p.m. through Thursday.

Manor and Springdale roads

  • Reduced to one lane in each direction under US 183 until further notice.

Windsor Road

  • Alternating closures in both directions under MoPac 1. 10 a.m.-3 p.m. Monday-Friday.
