Chick-fil-A will open a location in downtown Austin on July 29.

Located at 600 Congress Ave., Ste. C150, the newest outpost for the fast-food fried chicken giant is locally owned by Luke Steigmeyer and will be open for dine-in and takeout from 6:30 a.m.-10 p.m. Mondays-Wednesdays and 6:30 a.m.-midnight Thursdays-Saturdays.

In honor of its opening, Chick-fil-A 6th & Congress plans to surprise 100 "local heroes" with a year of free Chick-fil-A meals, according to a news release. The restaurant will also donate $25,000 to Feeding America.
