Due to ongoing severe weather conditions, Austin and Travis County have canceled all city and county meetings for Feb. 16, including meetings for Austin City Council and Travis County Commissioners Court and a joint meeting of the two bodies, at which they were to receive a COVID-19 status update from Austin Public Health.

All Travis County offices and facilities will be closed Feb. 16 with the exception of essential emergency staff. The Commissioners Court meeting will be rescheduled for a later date when weather allows, according to a news release from the county.

The city of Austin has announced the cancellation of meetings Feb. 17, per a city news release. City operations will shut down Feb. 16 and 17, except for essential public safety services, including those related to winter weather response.
