As icy conditions continue into Feb. 2, schools and universities announced plans for staff and students.

Austin Community College and The University of Texas at Austin will remain closed through Feb. 2 due to the threat of icy conditions.

St. Edward’s University will reopen Feb. 2 at 12:30 p.m., according to an update from the university at 1:50 p.m. on Feb. 1. The notice said essential staff should report to work as required. Staff who cannot return to work should speak to their supervisors, while students who are unable to attend classes or have difficulty completing their work due to power outages should consult their professors.

As of 4 p.m. Feb. 1, Huston-Tillotson University had not announced any closures or delays for Feb. 2.

Texas State University announced it plans to reopen Feb. 2.
