Huston-Tillotson University moves to virtual classes for start of spring semester

Huston-Tillotson University students will return to classes virtually Jan. 10.

Colette Pierce Burnette, president and CEO of the university, announced the guidelines Jan. 4 as omicron cases surge in the Austin area.



Classes will resume in person Jan. 24, according to the release.

Campus housing will open Jan. 7 as planned, according to the announcement.

The University of Texas and Texas State University will also delay in-person classes. Austin ISD resumed in-person classes Jan. 5.
