A new local brewery called The Stay Put is opening at 73 Rainey St., Austin, in a building listed under the National Register of Historic Places. There are two bars, indoor and outdoor seating, and a dog-friendly patio at the brewery. The Stay Put will offer 16 brewed-in-house beers that a representative described as “crisp and clean easy drinkers” as well as “approachable and crushable” draft cocktails. Amanda Carto, who brings over a decade of bar management experience, wll act as general manager, and Head Brewer Kevin Lindsay will oversee all on-site brewing. Lazarus Brewing Co. will open a second location at 4803 Airport Blvd., Austin, in late November. Lazarus is family owned by Montana natives Christian and Marilyn Cryder, who were inspired to open Lazarus from a love of “beer, coffee and tacos.” Lazarus will be open seven days a week and serve house-roasted coffee, house-brewed beer and breakfast tacos. Lazarus does not distribute its beer in efforts to create a space where people can come together. Lazarus’ second location will be inspired by the first with a similar menu, outdoor dog-friendly patio and a focus on community. Lazarus' first location is at 1902 E.
